AIRCRAFT FOR SALE! $17,000 |

These are photos of my father's experimental aircraft, Mirage II. The aircraft is a modified Starduster II design, single seat acrobatic biplane. The airplane was completed in 1963 and was featured on the cover of the April 1965 edition of the EAA Magazine, Sport Aviation. At the 1963 Rockford Fly-In (now Oshkosh, WI), the aircraft took first place in all competition categories. Believe it or not, these pictures were taken in 2007 before my dad's health declined and this airplane is well over 40 years old! The aircraft is now a project and needs a new owner to restore this classic biplane to it's original luster. The work that needs to be done is a recover as the fabric on the aircraft is Grade A Cotton and has deteriorated due to age. The aircraft has also sat without running since mid-2007, so the engine at a minmum will likely need a top overhaul.
